It's kind of a big deal (at least to me) because it shows the importance of user feedback as well as user interaction when creating products these same users are supposed to make a part of their daily routine. This is something I think some start up companies are failing to forget, and they tend to churn out new products that are not sustainable and after a while, the product becomes redundant.
There are also key lessons to learn for community (social media) managers, advertising on websites.
