When we first got our Smile wi-fi modem, I remember that we kept asking when they would have unlimited data plans. The question was always deflected, so we gave up and went with Cobranet unlimited. It can get annoying, but unlimited internet is better than limited internet most of the time. It is certainly more cost effective. Been using it for months now.
Then I get this email, just now.
Celebrate this festive season with NO LIMITS - especially when it comes to mobile broadband internet from Smile!
This is the time of the year when we have more free time to spend online, to watch movies and to just relax with the best online entertainment and games. Get SmileUnlimited today @only ₦19,800! Valid for 30 days. RECHARGE NOW!
To be honest, it's a rather ambiguous message. Not once does it clearly state that you will be able to browse with no data cap in the period. All it does is say you can browse with "no limits" with "SmileUnlimited".
Here's the original email, maybe there's fine print in there somewhere that I did not see. It would be great if current Smile users would let us know if this ostensibly unlimited data plan is actually as advertised.
