A couple of months ago, I decided to take on a new challenge of building a simple, intuitive, beautiful note taking ecosystem.
Goals/ Objectives
Balance: If you're a developer and you've used VSCode, you'll know the goal of the product was to find the right balance for an editor that sits comfortably between something as gigantic as Visual Studio or Intellij and something as simple as Notepad++. For me I wanted to achieve the same thing with an app that somewhat sits between something like OneNote or even MSWord and SimpleNote or Wordpad. It should also support rich text editing but should not overwhelm the users (This is very important for me)
Continuous Software Development: Also VSCode inspired. What we can learn from this era of web apps and mobile apps is that software is never done It is a continuous process. Develop > Test > Deploy > Quash Bugs > Test > Deploy > Upgrade > Test > Deploy... Gone are the days of waiting every year for a new version of the app. With the new auto updating feature, users can always get up to date versions of the software.
Lightweight: at < 40mb the desktop app is significantly small for the job it does.
Availability: Currently the app is available on only Windows. But that will change very soon and we will ship for both MacOSx and Linux (Ubuntu)
Scribble is in BETA, right now we need users (testers). Your feedback is very important to me.
