1. The web has pretty much caught up feature-wise
2. The simple cleaner layouts on the web look more beautiful
3. Development time is shorter. Faster to push updates / fixes online
4. No deeplinking to articles
5. The size of the native audience / revenue isn't worth the extra engineering effort
